The Italian press have predictably dubbed him 'Quagliagol'.

Teams rumoured to be interested in him; Juventus, Manchester United, Inter, Milan and Roma to name the most commonly linked. He would cost around £12m but the fee would have to be agreed with both Sampdoria and Udinese with whom he is co-owned.
