Looking at the young players from last years thread, and talking about the best ones from this campaign.

http://football-chat.net/forums/index.php?...pic=6675&hl

Green = improved
Black = negligible improvement/moved
Red = deteriorated in standing

1) Yoann Gourcuff - Loaned to Bordeaux, impressing immensely
2) Raffaele Palladino - Co-owned to Genoa from Juventus, has played more and become part of the Genoa success story
3) Valon Behrami - Moved to West Ham for €6m
4) Alessandro Potenza - Loaned to Catania where he has been fairly impressive, but slow start to the year
5) Marco Motta - Move to Roma has reignited his career and he has made the Italy squad
6) Daniele Dessena - Hasn't played enough times in a talent-packed Sampdoria central midfield
7) Antonio Nocerino - Sold to Palermo, has become a key player for the Rosanero
8) Dias Felipe - Injury-plagued defender who on his day is one of the best in Italy
9) Marco Andreolli - Former Inter defender is now on loan at Serie B Sassuolo from Roma
10) Giampaolo Pazzini - Moved to Sampdoria where he is now in the form of his career
11) Bosko Jankovic - Loaned to Genoa, another who has flourished at the Rossoblu and is now nearing his old form
12) Stefano Okaka Chuka - On loan to Brescia from Roma where he has made an impact
13) Michele Canini - Impressive young defender is another who suffers from lack of fitness
14) Marek Hamsyk - Probably on par with last season even though he looks a little jaded, still one of the best young players in Europe
15) Giorgio Chiellini - Has grown into his role as first choice defender for Juventus and also for Italy
16) Emiliano Viviano - The best goalkeeper in Serie B will leave Brescia in the summer for Inter where he will become number 2 to Julio Cesar
17) Leandro Grimi - Defender sold to Sporting Lisbon for €2.5m
18) Robert Acquafresca - 10 goals in 23 games for Cagliari as he reaches his best form to date
19) Alessandro Rosina - His career is faultering at a poor and uninspired Torino
20) Edison Cavani - 10 goals in a markedly improved season for the lad asked to replace Amauri
21) Paolo Sammarco - Another industrious midfielder from Sampdoria
22) Fernando Forestieri - Now on loan in Serie B, still young enough to make an impact
23) Matteo Paro - Solid but unspectacular player who has found his level
24) Aleandro Rosi - On loan at Livorno from Roma where he has been a regular starter
25) Anthony Vanden Borre - Versatile Belgian has found games limited in a successful side
26) Domenico Criscito - Loaned to Genoa where he has been a cornerstone in the defence, winning rave reviews
27) Alberto Aquilani - Injury-plagued season but still one of the best midfielders in Italy
28) Asamoah Gyan - Joined Stade Rennais for €8m
29) Goran Slavkovski - Inter youngster has disappeared off the radar after joining Sheffield Utd on loan but making no appearances
30) Salvatore Foti - Acquired by Udinese and loaned to Treviso, he has unimpressed
31) Francesco Lodi - Still one of the best in Serie B but needs to move to Serie A to show his talent
32) Samir Handanović - Impressive goalkeeper who is one of the leagues best
33) Cristían Zapata - Returned from serious injury and reminding everyone what a beast he is
34) Andrea Coda - Continues to be a regular for Udinese in an average season for them
35) Sebastian Giovinco - Has now begun to play and some dazzling displays show his increased maturity
36) Papa Waigo N'Diayè - Loaned to Lecce from Fiorentina but has barely featured
37) Claudio Marchisio - Has improved immensely from last season, now seen as an important midfield player
38) Arturo Lupoli - On loan to Sheffield Utd from Fiorentina, he looks to be heading out of Italian football
39) Mourad Meghni - Too few games to make any impression
40) Francesco Pisano - Important first team player for the improved Sardinians
41) Fernando Damian Tissone - Cultured midfielder who has stagnated this season
42) Ezequiel Lavezzi - Adored in Napoli, but suffering from some lack of form, quality
43) Victor Obinna - Has barely featured for Inter after a loan move to Everton fell through
44) Ahmed Apimah Barusso - Roma midfielder loaned to Galatasaray with little success and also to Siena to the same degree
45) Riccardo Montolivo - His form has been up and down this season but he still remains key for Fiorentina and regularly makes the Italy squad
46) Raffaele De Martino - Hasn't played as many games as he would like this season.
47) Michele Paolucci - Catania loanee is top scorer with 7 in an impressive season
48) Daniele Paponi - Now at Rimini on loan, he is not scoring as much as he would like but still only 20
49) Alexandre Pato - Sensational year where he looks to be developing into one of the worlds best
50) Samuel De Carmine - Loaned to QPR where he has scored a handful of goals, another young enough to come back
51) Luca Cigarini - Now at Atalanta where his early form was excellent but has now levelled out
52) Ondrej Mazuch - Too young to yet play any regular games for Fiorentina
53) Gianluca Curci - Finally getting a chance after joining Siena, he has really impressed and is being kept busy
54) Takayuki Morimoto - Japanese forward has really improved and has 4 goals to his name
55) Antonio Mirante - Second choice for Sampdoria
56) Lorenzo De Silvestri - Has struggled for games with the arrival of Lichsteiner but still very young
57) Aleksandar Kolarov - A regular starter for Lazio, his form has been mixed but he has improved on last year
58) Paolo De Ceglie - Several impressive first team games under his belt until his injury
59) Walter Gargano - Has become an important part of the Napoli midfield and his absence has been felt
60) Reto Ziegler - Swiss midfielder has struggled for games

Very good player in real life too. I think Italy have a couple of quality central midfielders on their hands with he and Marchisio.

i woulnt rate Rosi as bad, he's a starter at least.
Its a shame Rosina has lost the flair and promise he showed in the past.

Rosi has gone out to B now though, so it has to be seen as a backward step as he isn't setting the division alight, but a lot of players have gone down to B and come back because it is basically just a learning curve and chance for games.

I noticed you are happy to include Chiellini though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_mrgreen.gif)

There are a fair few exceptional young players in Serie A now, Kjaer, Santon and Pato stand out for me, consering they are all 20 or younger.
