Podolski? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_mrgreen.gif) He's ok, having a great season and does it for Germany, but his club career overall is pretty average. He's not exactly a champion.

he's extremely quick and versatile forward man. He would do well in that midget front man competition you have every season (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Podolski is great but I don't know if he has the ability to adapt to Serie A

Maxi Lopez is a beast and I really wanted him at Roma (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Curti is official (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheers.gif)

"La società AC Perugia calcio comunica che è stato raggiunto questa sera l'accordo con la Juventus per la cessione in comproprietà del calciatore Nicolò Curti"

Undisclosed co-ownership for the young defender. Paratici and Marotta getting work done signing up the best kids in the peninsular.

Martin Caceres could be coming back, €3m loan and a €7m option to buy.

A lot of fans like him but I'm not convinced. He's a warrior and versatile but he's a bit of a stupid player and can get himself into trouble with cards.

Good. Borriello needs to play more. I wasn't pleased with his lack of game time.

Udinese

Another Roma to Juve rumour, this time David Pizarro:

QUOTE
As Juventus and Roma conclude negotiations on the loan transfer of striker Marco Borriello, reports indicate they will also open talks on David Pizarro.

Borriello is expected to complete a six-month loan deal to join the Bianconeri in January, with Juve agreeing to a fixed but not compulsory fee of €7.5m to make the deal permanent. The forward, currently recovering from a minor muscle-related injury, is expected to join up with the Turin side next week to start training.

Roma director Claudio Fenucci will reportedly conclude the deal with Juve’s general manager Beppe Marotta on Saturday, where they are rumoured to then open negotiations over a potential switch for David Pizarro.

The Chilean has fallen out of favour under Luis Enrique and is widely expected to be heading out the door, with reports pushing him towards Turin for the Bianconeri’s wish to provide suitable cover for Andrea Pirlo in the middle of the park.
This would practically tie up the Scudetto for Juve IMO.

wow. Pizarro on his way out would be a strange blow to Roma. He's still the best passer on a team that is trying to play football that is beautiful, made of love, union and passion. Not sure how that will work with only Pjanic on the ball.

Borriello is close, supposed to be having medical visits.

Pizarro and Caceres will be decided one way or another this week, it seems.

In other news we are in negotiations with Brescia to sign their young midfielder Elvis Kabashi, he's a 17 year old Albanian who supports Juve.

Atalanta: Juve want Gabbiadini

(IMG:http://webstorage.mediaon.it/media/2011/09/manolo-gabbiadini_medium.jpg)

By Football Italia staff

Atalanta have revealed that Juventus are interested in signing Italian Under-21 rising star Manolo Gabbiadini.

Gabbiadini has drawn attention this season for his form with Ciro Ferrara’s Azzurrini, having netted 10 goals in 13 appearances. Whilst the 20-year-old has yet to become a firm fixture in Stefano Colantuono’s first-team plans in Bergamo, he has now caught the eye of the Bianconeri.

“Something is happening,” sporting director Pierpaolo Marino confirmed to Citynews.

“There has been contact with Juventus, but we cannot speak in terms of days it will take to reach an agreement. You will see later.”

Juve are already thought close to signing another promising young Italian in the form of 18-year-old Brescia goalkeeper Nicola Leali and have also been linked with Siena’s 20-year-old forward Mattia Destro.

-----------------------------------

We are making some smart moves, I like Gabbiadini a lot, and but for a red hot German Denis at Atalanta we would see more of him. He has always impressed me with the Azzurrini and he looks to have a real eye for goal and strong finish.

Destro has been doing extremely well this season and is another good option. I made a thread about Leali already, it seems we are tying up loose ends with that deal, even though the Cazzatta are causing trouble with rumours of Man City despite there being no bid for him from them.

Some players we have been linked to:

(IMG:http://www.leballonrond.fr/img/jogadores/45/16845_peq_guarin.jpg)

Freddy Guarin (Porto) - All-action Colombian midfielder, he's not playing currently because the coach doesn't fit him into the team, but otherwise he is highly rated and would suit our style well. He's non-EU and would cost around €11m. Some sources even say this is a done deal. Either way, he said he would either stay at Porto or join Juve.

(IMG:http://static.republika.co.id/uploads/images/square/radja-nainggolan-_111028161609-553.jpg)

Radja Nainggolan (Bologna) - Another combative midfield, he could come as well as Guarin but it is unlikely, we'll probably try for him in the summer. The fee would be upwards of €12m, or more if other teams linked (Milan, Man City) come in for him. We could offset that by selling or co-owning players such as Immobile, Marrone or the total rights to Ekdal.

(IMG:http://www.infodeportes.com/fotos/2010/9/1266.3039.0.277.250.jpg)

Martin Caceres (Sevilla) - We know all about him as he played here before. Would be very useful as he can play across the defense and would explain why Sorensen was allowed to leave. He strongly wants to join us but the fee is a problem, we are offering €8m and Sevilla want more like €11m.

(IMG:http://i61.servimg.com/u/f61/12/91/75/55/david-10.jpg)

David Pizarro (Roma) - This one has gone quiet because he has been in Chile seeing his very ill sister, but Conte wants a vice-Pirlo and he would be a good addition. The fee would be quite small as he has little relationship with Luis Enrique.

Other mentions are Davide Astori (DC, Cagliari), Vedran Corluka (DRC, Spurs) and Mattia Destro (FC, Siena).

Guarin's agent just said that the player has agreed to join Juve, we could hear something today!

So Martin Caceres is 99% done, pending a medical.

(IMG:http://static.republika.co.id/uploads/images/square/radja-nainggolan-_111028161609-553.jpg)

Radja Nainggolan looks 90% done, just waiting on official news.

(IMG:http://img.skysports.com/11/08/150x150/Kasami_2635991.jpg)

Di Marzio posted on Twitter that we have agreed a deal to sign Pajtim Kasami from Fulham, and co-own him straight to Cesena, who want him to replace Parolo who could be sold. This is debatable, watch this space.

(IMG:http://www.ilpallonaro.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/nicola-leali-150x150.jpg)

We are still in the hotseat for Brescia wonderkid keeper Nicola Leali, although his agents say there is nothing official yet which is strange.

I don't think we can expect any more to come in after that. Aly Cissokho has been mentioned but that is surely pie in the sky stuff.

In terms of outgoings:

Toni - Al Nasr (Dubai) want him, there is already a rumour that he has said goodbye to the team and is on the way there now.

Iaquinta - Palermo and Parma have been mentioned, but I doubt we can sell him in this window, a loan at best.

Marrone - I hope he stays but we will have too many CMs if Radja comes in. Could go to Cagliari on loan as part of the deal, 6 months there could be a good option.

Pazienza - He's getting itchy feet on the bench and could be sold in this window, although likelier in the summer, Udinese, and some other Serie A and Bundesliga teams mentioned.

Immobile - possibly part of the Radja deal, although I'd prefer he stayed at Parma.

Ekdal - almost certain we'll sell the other 50% of him to Cagliari as part of the Radja deal.

Grosso - linked to MLS and the Middle East, he just needs to leave as sitting on the bench at his age is no good.

Pasquato - isn't playing enough at Lecce, so he could come back from loan. Has been linked to Torino ((IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ) who would pay €2.5m for co-ownership.

Giandonato - he's in the same boat as Pasquato, although he has played more regularly and injuries have set him back. Probably will stay with Lecce.

Conte just said that he is excited about Caceres arrival, said Marrone is staying because he is the future of Juventus, and that we were tying up our final deals.

Looks like the Nainggolan deal is going to have to wait until the summer, Cellino just refuses to sell him as the player has not asked to leave like Matri did, and he can't replace him. He wanted Pazienza as part of the deal but the player won't go there. Juve also won't release Marrone as part of the deal as Conte likes him too much.

Instead Pazienza is close to joining Udinese, his wife is apparently from Udine. That's ideal for us, if it's a sale.

We got rid of Toni (Al Nasr) and Motta on a loan to Catania. Now just Iaquinta and Grosso to get rid of from the 'dead wood', although I suspect that is wishful thinking.

(IMG:http://www.footballzz.com/img/jogadores/77/61977_peq_simone_padoin.jpg)

Oh, and we've apparently signed Simone Padoin from Atalanta. Left footer who can play CM, LM and LB. We had him on tour with us in the US before, Marotta likes him and Conte knows him, could be useful and hopefully not another Motta...

AS is saying that we are signing Nicolas Cañizares from Rayo Vallecano 'B' in the summer. He is a 16 year old central defender, who is a international for the Spain U17 team. Much sought after player, I think Real Madrid were close to him.

Marotta confirmed a few days ago that the club would spend €30m over the next 5 years on the youth team, that means not only training the local players coming through but also scouring the globe for players aged 13-17 who we can develop into top players. He commented how Madrid and Barcelona pay similar amounts yet no one else had the same faith in youth, so Juve will look that way.
